The story of
Heather Gold
Heather started writing at fourteen before heading into fine art and sculpture. She used words to build her creative world before becoming a teacher, helping children find their voice through creative media.
Heather loves her job working with children with additional support needs but is following her passion with words and writing in her spare time. She lives in Fife, Scotland with her husband, son and two amazing dogs who keep her sane and drive her mad.
'I am a different person with each passing day. My mind like a river, never the same in two different moments.' Iris repeated the mantra out loud in her empty house after Lizzy had left, closing her eyes and teetering on the edge of the expanding abyss of lost memories. Whatever the future held, she would still be Iris, just a new variation of herself. “Nothing can take that away from me. My fundamental nature will remain.” She insisted to herself. 'Memory is not identity.' Although the words rang hollow in her ailing mind.
